Thank you to all of you who visited us over the Bank Holiday weekend for Derbyshire Open Arts

screen-shot-2017-02-01-at-08-20-50 Howard Pratt is a commercial photographer and one of Derbyshire’s regular landscape photographers

Having studied profession photography in London in the late 1970’s before embarking on a career that encompassed not just photography, but theatre and television, print and design and teaching, I have worked in many areas of the country and many areas of endeavour.

My main interest is in landscape photography and I am ideally placed in the Peak District which offers a multitude of opportunities at all times of year. This said, I have a great deal of experience in a full range of photographic genres and locations, from theatre stills to commercial work and from Cornwall to Scotland.

A few years ago I completed my licentiate distinction with the Royal Photographic Society and I am now looking to undertake further distinctions, both for my own development and for the joy of a challenge.

Please feel free to explore the Gallery of my images from the link here or from the menu  above to the see the variety of images available to enjoy and for purchase from this website, or via one of the markets listed on the Markets page.

Photography is a wonderful hobby for you to enjoy, especially landscape photography, offering as it does the opportunity to get out and experience the beautiful country in which we live.

    Hi Howard,
Me and my partner saw you yesterday at Matlock. I am wanting to order one of your photos if possible. Can you advise how to do this?
    Many thanks
